On Tuesday the 18th of November , officers from Birmingham City Council’s Community Safety Team and the West Midlands Police’s Stockland Green Neighbourhood Team joined forces to make Stockland Green safer and stronger.
Throughout the day, teams were out and about speaking with residents and businesses, listening to their concerns and offering advice on how to report issues. Our team knocked on doors around Marsh Road, Reservoir Road and Slade Road, sharing our “How to Report” leaflets and spending time informing the community that help is available.
Patrols took place across key areas including Marsh Hill, Slade Road, Brookvale Park and Reservoir Road, while businesses along Marsh Hill and Slade Road also received visits to discuss local challenges and strengthening partnerships. Officers also checked exempt accommodation on Slade Road and carried out a weapons sweep in Brookvale Park to keep public spaces safe.
During the engagement, residents raised concerns about drug dealing, substance misuse, anti-social behaviour in groups, prostitution and shoplifting. These conversations are vital in helping us target resources where they’re needed most.
We’re committed to working with you to tackle these issues and create a safer community. If you see something that doesn’t feel right, please report it using the guidance in our leaflet.
Together, we can make Stockland Green a better place to live, work and visit.
